DescriptionA morning at Limoges-Benedictines station - 48056029012.jpg
English: Limoges Benedictines station, which was re-opened in 1929 following a complete re-building in the French Art Deco architectural style. Inside the Booking Hall there are classical Art Deco features including stained glass panels and bas-reliefs of the "spirits of the four regions" set into the supporting columns of the huge domed roof. Down below are platforms A-H (8) although most services appear to use G and H, and two through freight lines which bypass the platforms. There is a very limited TGV service to Paris (twice daily) and four times per day a Paris to Toulouse Corail Inter-City service. Apart from that it's all TER DMU services plus the occasional freight. I was lucky to get an SNCF INFRA service conveying spoil in ballast boxes heading westbound on the independent lines.
