" The U.S. Route 89 road between Kanab, Utah and Page, Arizona — is one of the most scenic roads in the country - the scenery is incredible - there are a bunch of side roads that look so inviting. One of the detours in a little parking lot that leads to a place called the Toadstools - it's a very short trail - about .8 miles through a wash to an area of toadstools. These toadstools are formations that are formed by erosion - there is a rock cap on top of a column - it looks really cool but there were a lot fewer toadstools this year than last time I was here a few years ago - I heard from some Rangers that some of the columns were vandalized - what a shame."
I took these photos in October 2012 about 30 miles east of Kanab, Utah.
