Greetings,

I was wondering whether anyone around here could help me to figure out a research problem I am currently facing pertaining to my research to the attention given to Blood Purge victims deaths (and Bose death in particular) in the international press. According to an old letter I found in the National Archives in London there must be some article on the Roehm Purge events in the Paris edition of the Chicago Tribune of July 18th 1934 that praises Bose as a "Chevalier sans peur et sans reproche" (probably contrasting him to the majority of the other purge victims who did have a lot of blood on their hands themselves). In the libraries I am using I can only get the regular Chicago Tribune issues, i.e. those produced for the American market, written in English. In order to get the article as a copy from another library I would need its precise title, which I unfortunately do not happen to know (my source only quotes from the Chicago Tribune Paris edition of July 18th without giving any others details). On that account I was wondering whether anyone around here is interested in the topic and has access to a library that keeps old issues of the Paris edition of the Chicago tribune, so that he or she could check the issue for articles covering the Blood Purge events (perhaps it is a obituary on Bose or an article on him specifically, perhaps an article on Bose's former chief von Papen, perhaps an article on the Purge events in general - I don't know) and check whether the afore-quoted phrase of a "chevalier sans..." is indeed used in any article. And if indeed that should be the case I would be extremly grateful if heo r she could tell me the article's precise title so that I could order a copy via interlibrary loan. Thank you very much indeed for your help and best regards--80.142.203.179 (d) 6 avril 2010 à 18:07 (CEST)[répondre]
