Discussion:Station touristique

A comment from outside the French language community: the links from this page to the German, English, and Spanish version point to a very different topic. They translate literally the term "Station touristique", the meaning of this term is NOT identical to the French: in France it refers to a single municipality or a group of them where the whole of their tourist infrastructure is covered by the classifation as "Station touristique". Actual links from the FR page, however, link to what would be a "resort" or "centre touristique" in France (i.e. one single tourism establishment or exploitation with diverisified services).

The correct translation and therefore, reference term for linking, of "Station Touristique" should be for other languages as follows:

• EN - "Local destination", "Touristic municipality", "Micro-destination"
• DE - Örtlicher Tourismusverband / Fremdenverkehrs-Verband (Austria)
• ES - Municipio Turístico / Comarca turística
