Article 1 : Constitution et denomination[modifier le code]

The membres create between them a non profit organisation according to the law of 1901 which has for name "Wikipédia France".

Article 2 : Objectives[modifier le code]

This organisation has for objectives:

  • to promote projects of the Wikimedia foundation, especially the collaborative encyclopedia in French language under the GFDL: http://fr.wikipedia.org/. This can include:
    • organising presentations during events (conferences, exibitions...) or for a particular public (schools, entreprises, public organisations...);
    • writing and speading information to medias, especially in France and other French speaking countries;
    • creating, distributing and selling promotion material (posters, tee-shirts...);
  • possibly, technical management of a mirror of the French Wikipedia in Europe;
  • collecting funds for Wikipedia and its mirrors;
  • going to court for the defense of Wikipemedia projects rights;
  • possibly, helping the publication of the encyclopedia on paper or CDROM;
  • organising meetings between participants of the projects;
  • organising any activities related to the projects of the Wikimedia foundation.

The objectives of the organisation is not to manage the projects themselves. It has no power of decision on the rules of projects functioning.

Article 3 : Headquarters[modifier le code]

The haedquarters is at the residence of the president. It can be changed with a simple notice from the organisation board.

Article 4 : Duration of the organisation[modifier le code]

The organisation is not limited in time.

Article 5 : Members[modifier le code]

The organisation is composed of active members and members by right. The active members are those paying their annual membership fees. Among members by right is a representant of the Wikimedia Foundation.
